The one essential requirement for God's blessings is obedience. We are to obey God and respond to his commandments. There are considerable rewards from God for our obedience. Our recovery demands that we seek to know God's will for us and then do it. Obedience to God's Word, the Bible is a good place to start.
Just as a obedience results in God's blessing, disobedience brings God's curse (read Deuteronomy 28 from verse 15). We need to discover what God's requirements are; then we must follow God's program in humble obedience.
There is no lasting satisfaction outside of a real relationship with God and obedience to His will. Seeking God's will and following it without reservation are essential parts of our recovery.
